The garden was started over 20 years ago as part of an Eagle Scout project. Not much of the original garden remains, though, since it was redesigned in 1992.

However, just like all those years ago, the Boy Scouts still play a big role in the garden’s maintenance. The Botanical Park Garden Club also helps to maintain the garden, ensuring it’s safe and ready for use year-round.

Absolutely enchanting, the grounds boast a woodland garden that’s filled with native trees and plants. Attractive shrubbery and vivid flora also fill the gardens.

A short trail, which is about one mile in length, winds through the gardens, so visitors of all ages can easily explore its colorful blooms and vibrant greenery.

There’s more to the trail than plants and flowers, though. There’s also waterfront views since the trail meanders along the banks of Mill Creek.
