A high-flying good time is a lot closer than you think – and it’s all thanks to Kites Over Lake Michigan! Unlike many other events that have been canceled due to the pandemic, Kites Over Lake Michigan will still take place this year. The beloved fest is just a few months away, and as one of the largest in the Midwest, it’s one event you don’t want to miss. Keep reading for everything you need to know about this longtime favorite.

Festival attendees are treated to dazzling displays of giant show kites, which are put on by precision stunt teams. It’s fun for all ages!

Heading into its 15th year, Kites Over Lake Michigan has grown tremendously since its inception and now attracts upwards of 15,000 people from across the US!

Kites Over Lake Michigan is always held over Labor Day weekend, which means this year’s event will take place on September 5th and 6th.

There are a few things that’ll be different about the 2020 festival, such as the location. Instead of Neshotah Beach, which is where it’s usually held, this year’s festival will be held at Two Rivers High School.

Changes will also be made to ensure social distancing guidelines are adhered to. Still feel uneasy about attending the festival? No problem; you can watch the festivities from the safety of your car.
