Always held the first weekend of August, the 2020 Watermelon Carnival will take place July 31st – August 1st.

The small town festival is a pretty big deal, bringing about 20,000 people to Water Valley.

The event has grown tremendously since its inception in 1931. Originally, it consisted of a parade, pageant, and ball.

Today, the Watermelon Carnival features lots of opportunities for the entire family to have fun…and indulge in some watermelon.

Now a full-fledged weekend celebration, there’s tons of entertainment, including a fireworks display, antique car show, and parades.
