The spring season brings with it beautiful weather and lots of festivals. And one festival you don’t want to miss is ChocolateFest. The annual event celebrates all things chocolate with demonstrations, contests, samples, and more. There’s more to the fest than chocolate, though. There are also rides, games, great food, and entertainment, making the celebration even sweeter. Read on for all the details.
Since the opening of a Nestle factory in the 1960s, the small town of Burlington has become synonymous with chocolate.

In the 1980s, Nestle executives along with city officials wanted to celebrate the chocolate conglomerate’s 20th year of doing business in Burlington. And so, the town was nicknamed Chocolate City U.S.A. and ChocolateFest was created.

Held for the first time in 1987, it takes place over Memorial Day weekend. The 2020 festival is scheduled for May 22nd - May 25th.

Throughout the event, there are lots of ways for attendees to have chocolate-related fun. A candy wrapper fashion show, demonstrations, and chocolate carving contests are all part of that fun.

Basically a carnival (but with an exorbitant amount of chocolate), there are rides, games, and live entertainment, too.
