If you thought all sandwiches were created equal, think again! At Kurtz’s Pub and Deli, the lunchtime classic is transformed into a hearty meal thanks to quality meats, fresh toppings, and delicious bread. And it’s no coincidence that Kurtz’s makes epic sandwiches. The eatery has been open since the early 1900s, making it one of the oldest delis in the state. Take a look:

Great delis are scattered throughout the Badger State. But if you’re looking for one of the oldest, you’ll have to head to Two Rivers’ Kurtz’s Pub and Deli.

The historic pub-and-deli combo has only been at its present location since 1968; however, the eatery has been around much longer – Kurtz’s Pub and Deli was established back in 1904!

In addition to classics, like the BLT and Reuben sandwich, the menu includes signature creations, such as the Cran-Turkey. Described as Thanksgiving on a bun, it’s made by piling turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese and homemade pecan cranberry mayo on toasted focaccia bread.

Though the toppings will vary, every sandwich has something in common – they all come with your choice of kettle chips, Kurtz’s famous potato salad, or German potato salad.

You can also substitute your choice of bread with any sandwich. Definitely a hard decision to make, the bread selection includes light rye, pretzel buns, focaccia, fresh-baked sourdough, French bread, and croissants.

Of course, you’ll need something to wash down your sandwich. Luckily, Kurtz’s boasts a full bar, German beer on tap, and an extensive list of mixed drinks. The beverage offering also includes homemade lemonade.
