Are you feeling really cooped up right now? Normally, springtime is the best time to get out and explore the Hawkeye State, but COVID-19 has us all on lockdown. Luckily, the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium has launched a livestream from one of their most exciting and entertaining exhibits! Keep up with the museum’s playful river otters, learn about the river ecosystem, and cheer yourself up during these uncertain times.

The National Mississippi River Museum is a part of the historic Port of Dubuque, and during our pandemic lockdown, they’re offering the most adorable livestream in Iowa.

Caretakers are finding all sorts of ways to keep these playful and energetic critters entertained. Last week, they were watching Zootopia with their fans!

The museum is home to three otters. All three are rescued, and the couple you’ll see on the livestream were both abandoned orphans that were saved by the museum.

It’s only a matter of time before we’re allowed to tour the museum and explore the William M. Black Dredge Boat again, but until then, let these playful museum residents keep a smile on your face.
