Walk Through An Enchanting Forest At Cathedral Pines In Connecticut

What was once Connecticut’s largest growth of white pine and hemlock trees is now an inspiring reminder of how the earth can heal. Cathedral Pines, located near Cornwall, was tragically struck by three tornadoes in July of 1989. Today, it’s used as a site to study ecological restoration, the practice of renewing damaged ecosystems. What remains of this peaceful destination is truly awe-inspiring, especially when you consider just how much destruction it faced.
