There’s no better way to celebrate the spring season than the April Showers Spring Floral Show. During the event, a pastel-colored palette of blooms will fill the Floral Dome at Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory. And with nearly 2,000 plants total, it’s a real feast for the eyes! One of Wisconsin’s most unique destinations, Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory (otherwise known as The Domes), gives visitors the chance to experience a desert oasis, tropical jungle, and floral gardens – all in one place.

Throughout the year, five seasonal shows are held in the Floral Dome. Past events have included everything from train-themed displays to Candy Land.

Several events are already on the calendar for 2020, including the April Showers Spring Floral Show, which is scheduled for April 11th – May 25th.

During the show, the Floral Dome is stuffed to the brim with an eye-catching array of pastel-colored springtime blooms.

All in all, nearly 2,000 plants are used to create the vibrant seasonal exhibit.

Colorful and fragrant tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, pansies, and white Easter lilies are just a few of the types of flowers used to fill the dome.

The radiant display also includes blue forget-me-nots and delicate peach, pink, and yellow buttercups.

In addition to taking in the gorgeous flowers, visitors can visit a designated area of the dome to learn some fun facts about conserving the Great Lakes.

The show is included with regular admission, so attending doesn’t cost any more than a typical visit to the Domes. Regular admission is $8 for adults, $6 for kids 6 – 17, and free for kids 5 and under.
