Some people may be surprised to find out that there are mountains in Oklahoma. Yet, residents of the Sooner State know that some of the best hiking in the state can be found in the Wichita Mountains in southwestern Oklahoma. Narrows Trail is a 2.7-mile out-and-back trail. Although the trail is fairly short, the rocky terrain and water crossing make it a bit challenging. Yet, it’s fun for all ages and well worth a visit.
