However, while we’re all cooped up inside, it’s important to find things to look forward to! One of the most impressive destinations in Wyoming – Hot Springs State Park – has been around for thousands of years, and we’re looking forward to visiting once we get the all-clear. Thermopolis is one of the most impressive small towns in the entire country. This city of just under 3,000 people is home to the world’s largest mineral hot springs, and it’s easy to enjoy them in several ways.

The first thing you should do when you get into town is to hike to the top of Sneiders Point. This is a short, half-mile trail that shows off a panoramic view of Hot Springs State Park. You can see for miles and take in the true scale of this natural wonder!

The view of the park’s rainbow terraces is absolutely breathtaking. Look out across Hot Springs County and you’ll see an almost prehistoric-looking land laid out in front of you.

Walk miles of trails that wind their way around the park and cross the swinging bridge for a heart-pounding experience.

Finally, don’t forget to visit the man-made wonder, the Teepe Fountain, that was made by early settlers who pumped mineral water up through the ground, creating this one-of-a-kind monument to Mother Earth.
