The small town of Burlington, Kansas has a little bit of everything, and we’d like to share just how great it can be with all of you. Come take a look for yourself!

Today’s little town adventure centers around Burlington, Kansas. Since 1857, this town named after the same in Vermont has been slowly growing and writing its own history. Just west of town is the only nuclear power plant in Kansas, Wolf Creek Generating Station.

The Burlington area has lots to love, including the beautiful Jogn Redmond Reservoir, and the surrounding wildlife area.

In town, restaurants like Across the Borders serve great tex-mex meals, complete with longhorns mounted for all to see.

If you’d prefer, they also have a great breakfast menu, handmade chicken strips, and fantastic Kansas service.

The town is rich with history, and the people are sweet as you’d expect. The museum celebrates local heritage and also displays one of the largest antique doll collections in Kansas, as well as a restored one-room schoolhouse from 1896.

Speaking of history, you can also find bits of it in the thrift stores in town, especially at Vintage Sisters. They have all sorts of home decor, bits and bobs, as well as clothing to add a new color to your wardrobe.
