Outstanding drone footage of Illinois’ most populated city during the current lockdown order shows an uninhabited Chicago, which is an unexpected sight. The Windy City has come to a standstill and looks completely barren in these aerial images of the city, which used to be crowded at all hours of the day and night.
From empty streets to closed parks, ghosted sidewalks to seemingly abandoned attractions, the city of Chicago is nothing like it used to be, and this footage proves it. The only vehicles on the road are mostly those of essential workers and those who go outside do so once a day for exercise or to walk the dog. It really is an entirely different world for many folks. Scroll on to see it for yourself.

Hardly a soul is present downtown or along Lakeshore Drive. There is no one at the parks, including Millenium Park and Maggie Daley Park, the baseball stadiums, Navy Pier, the shopping centers, or the Magnificent Mile. Beaches are baren as are the boating attractions that usually glide up and down the river branches and lake. It’s never been so quiet in the city.
