During the Battle of Gettysburg, approximately 3,155 Union soldiers were killed while 3,903 Confederate soldiers lost their lives. Casualties on both sides tallied 51,112.

Devil’s Den is among the spots on your tour. During the battle, it was used by snipers. Many of those who died at Devil’s Den and on the battlefield were left unburied. Some were buried and later moved.
