Wazee Lake is most known for being Wisconsin’s deepest lake. However, that’s not its only claim to fame. There’s also the fact that it boasts some of the cleanest, clearest water in the state. In fact, the water’s clarity has led to the lake becoming one of the most popular scuba diving sites in the Midwest. As if it couldn’t get any better, it’s surrounded by a white sand beach, making it the perfect spot for some fun in the sun (and water). Take a look:

Our very own slice of paradise, otherwise known as Wazee Lake, is located about 125 miles northwest of Madison.

Admission into Wazee Lake Recreation Area is $3 per vehicle between Memorial Day and Labor Day. There are no entry fees for the rest of the year. Dive fees, which are $10/day or $75/calendar year, are charged year-round. For more information, check out the Jackson County website.
