The Rim of the World Scenic Byway is one of Southern California’s most picturesque drives. Spanning 107 miles, it’s also SoCal’s longest scenic route.

Designated as a National Forest Service Scenic Byway, this stunning route will take you on a breathtaking drive through the San Bernardino National Forest.

The route begins on Highway 138 just north of San Bernardino and winds its way through picture-perfect scenery. As you head east, you’ll follow the route toward Crestline where it merges with Highway 18 then Highway 38 where it will lead you toward Big Bear Lake.

Along the drive, you’ll have plenty of places to stop and enjoy the view.

Although the route from start to finish is approximately a four-hour drive, you’ll want to allow for more time to account for the many stops along the way to snap a few pictures.
