And who’s to blame us in a state that has both an official state dessert and a state treat? One of our favorite places to enjoy the sweet life here is at this special little bakery. And we do mean little!
Driving through Newry you might just come across a welcoming sight at the side of the road! This sign offering pies, cookies and whoopie pies means that deliciousness awaits!

Every morning Ryan and Devon Wheeler, co-owners of the bakery begin baking around 4 a.m. to cater to demand that lasts throughout the day. And they stay open until the inventory is gone!

The pie stand, located off of Bear River Road, has been in operation for more than 20 years. It was first operated by Ryan’s mother, Mary Jo Kelly, who was inspired after hearing of another honor-system-based business.
