The Wild Center is more than just your average natural history museum, inside you’ll find a variety of animals, local art, mind-blowing exhibits, as well as a gift shop and a cafe.

You’ll notice though that once you arrive, many people head to the opposite side of the parking lot to explore another area of The Wild Center.

Taking you out near the banks of the Raquette River, The Wild Walk is unlike any other attraction you’ll experience here in the Empire State.

Beginning on the ground, this easily accessible treetop adventure takes you on a nice gradual incline.

The further you continue to walk along this treetop boardwalk, the higher up you’ll find yourself!

You’ll find several different areas of The Wild Walk to explore like swinging bridges that lead you into massive treetop exhibits and adventures.

After you make your way across the bridges, you can head to other spots like the Bald Eagle’s Nest.

The highest point on The Wild Walk, this spot takes you an additional 8-feet above the rest of the walk as you climb a small staircase and enjoy the views from the nest.
