In fact, no other attraction has probably even attempted it – it’s certainly not something you see often, if ever! Check out this wacky spot in the Peace Garden State that is the only one of its kind in North Dakota, and likely the entire world.

Bottineau, North Dakota, is known for its location near the beautiful Turtle Mountains that provide access to year-round recreational opportunities. The quiet town is not only full of charm but also a unique surprise.

The town is home to the one and only Tommy the Turtle. This snowmobile-riding turtle is one-of-a-kind, and he overlooks the pleasant Turtle Park year-round.

Tommy claims the record of being the largest snowmobile-riding turtle in the world. He may also be the only snowmobile-riding turtle, period! Regardless, his massive size and friendly grin certainly turn heads.
