Do you know what the tallest bridge in Ohio is? Most people don’t. Completed in 2016, the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge connects the Fort Ancient earthworks complex to the small town of Oregonia, Ohio. Although it’s an interstate bridge that’s not particularly unique in appearance, its massive size makes it stand out from all the other impressive bridges in the state.

Named after former Governor of Ohio Jeremiah Morrow, this massive pair of concrete box girder bridges carries Interstate 71 over the Little Miami River gorge.

The bridge was built from 2010 - 2016 and replaced the original Warren truss bridges, which were completed in 1965.

The original bridges that the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge replaced featured the same design as the I-35W Mississippi River bridge, which collapsed in 2007.

Today, this mighty bridge stands 239 feet tall and spans 2,252 ft. across the Little Miami River. Pictured is the view from the top via Google Street View.

The view from the ground is particularly awe-inspiring, especially if you are kayaking in the river beneath.
