It’s not very often you find a fabulous steakhouse tucked away in a little town off the beaten path. If you find yourself in southern Oklahoma in the town of Temple, be sure to stop at Rockin H Land & Cattle Co. They have some of the best steaks around and a signature dessert that is worth the drive alone.

Rockin H serves up hearty cowboy-style dinners in a rustic, intimate atmosphere in Downtown Temple’s Financial District.

This little hometown restaurant is the kind of place where everybody knows your name and even though it’s a steakhouse, it’s very casual and laid-back.

Steaks are their specialty, tender and juicy and served with hand-dipped onion rings on top.

The chicken fried steak is so big it falls off the plate. It’s a Texas-sized portion of pure beef, hand-breaded and fried golden brown and served with mashed potatoes or fries and a roll.

The food is all made from scratch from the heart using only the freshest ingredients. And the portion sizes are all huge, which makes them perfect for splitting.

If you’re a Bloody Mary fan, they have a delicious one filled with goodies.

And just wait until you taste the signature dessert - fried peaches with ice cream and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Delicious!

Another fun rustic steakhouse to check out in the Sooner State is Molly’s Landing in Catoosa. It’s a destination restaurant, great for any occasion or date night. Come casual or get dressed up, either way, you’ll enjoy this rustic steakhouse housed in an old log cabin.
