There are so many beautiful hikes in Alaska that it can be hard to narrow your choice down to just one for the day. The Savage River Loop Trail in Denali National Park is a fun, easy hike that follows along a beautiful river cutting through the mountains. This hike is a good one for many different ages and abilities, so everyone in your family can enjoy themselves.
There’s a wonderful 2.1 mile hike in Denali National Park that is accessible to many skill levels.
Derek Gilbert / AllTrails The Savage River Loop Trail is one of the easiest hikes you’ll find in the park, and the views are incredibly rewarding.
The trail is nicely packed dirt and rocks, although it can get muddy if it’s raining.
Shashank Singhai / AllTrails The end of the trail loops around on a bridge, and you’ll follow the trail back on the far side of the river. You can start the loop in either direction, depending on where you would like to travel first.
There’s not much elevation gain to ascend on the trail.

There are tons of wildlife around this area, so keep watch for some interesting animals.

If you want, you can continue on hiking up to the mountain ridge to make the hike a little harder.

Accessing this trail is easy, as you can drive all the way in to the Savage River Loop Trailhead.

With stunning views of the surrounding countryside, and fun touches like a beautiful bridge, it’s hard to find someone who doesn’t love this hike.
