Up here in New England we’re lucky to have a great mix of foods. From Mexican to German and everything in between, it’s easy to travel the world without ever having to step foot out of our home state. But, one thing we’re especially grateful for is access to foods from across the Canadian border. Particularly, poutine!
Chez Vachon, located in Manchester, feels a lot like zipping over the border to Montreal. Except it’s a lot more convenient and perhaps even better tasting!

They’re known for a lot of things, but primarily for having some of the best French-Canadian food you can get in New England. Including their huge portions of poutine!

Poutine is a specialty of the region and features french fries, cheese curds and a special brown gravy. It comes from Quebec and first accounts of it date back to the 1950s.
