The trail offers unimpeded views of this iconic river. However, the centerpiece of this stellar walking trail is the view of the falls for which the city gets its name. The 600-foot-wide falls is an extraordinary sight to see, and you’ll get closer than ever to it on this trail.

The falls are one of the most well-known destinations in Idaho Falls, but they are also so much more than a pretty sight. They are also a source for the local hydroelectric plant, creating clean energy for the community in addition to gorgeous views!

Numerous local shops and restaurants also line the trail. This makes it easy to explore Idaho Falls’ top downtown spots. Simply hop on and off the trail as you please.

There are also plenty of spots along the river where you can sit and take it all in. Pack a picnic, stake out a shady spot, and enjoy the view. The Japanese Friendship Garden is an especially popular destination to relax, located right next to the Broadway St. bridge.
