You can still experience a retro movie experience at this historic theater in North Dakota. Not only is it one of the oldest movie theaters in the entire United States, but it’s also officially the oldest, continuously running theater in the country. It’s now 109 years old and has been in operation since 1911, and you can still catch a show there today:

Lisbon, North Dakota was founded in 1880. Just a little over 30 years later, a movie theater showed its first picture - a short, 10-minute black and white film called “Nemo.” You’ll find that exact theater still showing today’s movies right on Main Street.
