As the temperatures steadily rise, you’re gonna need a place to cool down – and D’Lo Water Park is that place. Not your typical water park, it doesn’t have slides, a lazy river, or crowds of people. Instead, it has something much better – a natural swimming hole. Take a look:

Deemed one of Mississippi’s best kept secrets, D’Lo Water Park is tucked away in the tiny town of D’Lo, which is about a 40-minute drive from Jackson.

The water park boasts a myriad of recreational opportunities – the best of which is a natural pool on the Strong River.

Surrounded by rocks and trees, the wooded park will make you feel like you’re in a secluded paradise.

The secluded locale also means that crowds aren’t the norm.

And since the water isn’t too deep, it’s a great choice for all ages.

However, you should keep in mind that the current is pretty strong on the river, so children should be supervised at all times.

You should also consider bringing along water shoes, since the river’s bottom is rocky.

Speaking of rocks, the park is home to a collection of rocks that may look familiar to fans of the movie, O Brother, Where Art Thou, which was partially filmed at D’Lo Water Park.

But there’s more to the park than swimming and rocks. The park also offers kayaking, camping, and fishing bait – all for a fee.

General admission to the park is free, though. There are also picnic tables and grills, which can be used free of charge.
