Several unique events take place each year in Alabama, including its famous Mardi Gras in Mobile. In a couple of weeks, this annual celebration will begin. It’s the perfect event for the entire family, so be sure to make plans to attend if you’re in the area.

Parades are one of Mardi Gras’ most popular events, which will take place on January 25, 2020 for Lower Alabama, February 7, 2020 for Mobile, and its Fat Tuesday parades will take place on February 25, 2020. Interestingly, Mobile’s first known Mardi Gras parade took place in 1711. For a list of additional parade dates (and times) for this year’s Mardi Gras, click here.
