There’s nothing better than spending an entire day outdoors, especially when the weather is nice. For those dedicated to spending hours and hours outside, you can’t do much better than the Little Rocky Row Loop. With the trail is by no means quick — it’s over 10 miles in length — hikers will be well rewarded for their efforts with some of the best views Virginia has to offer. Plus, given the fact that it’s located along the Appalachian Trail, you can turn back whenever you wish.
So the next time you need to reset with an entire day in the mountains, you’ll be glad you selected this trail.
The Little Rocky Road Trail begins on the James River Foot Bridge. Measuring 623 feet, it’s the longest pedestrian-only bridge along the entire Appalachian Trail.
