Bryan King/Google Maps It includes a lake, a small golf course, a swimming pool, a playground, picnic areas, Elk River access, a skateboard rink, disc golf, and hiking trails.
And tucked away at the end of the Mary Knight Trail - also known as the Alice Knight Memorial Trail - and the Oak Trail (the two form a loop) is a beautiful little waterfall and pool.

It’s known by locals as the “Coonskin Grotto,” because behind the waterfall is a shallow cave made by the sandstone overhang.
John Moubarek/Google Maps There’s a short set of wooden steps down to the grotto, and the one-mile trail to get there winds through the forest, along a stream, and under various rock ledges.
It’s a pleasant little surprise, and a great place to escape into nature.
Zachary Humphreys/Google Maps Dogs love it, too!
The water level can vary in the pool and the cave, though, depending on the season.
