When spring arrives in New Hampshire, things feel alive! The trees are green, the temperatures are warmer and life just feels brighter. That’s certainly going to be true in just a few days as the biggest full moon of the year is set to grace our night skies. Put it on your calendar, have a jacket ready (because, let’s be honest, it’s still chilly around these parts!) and make your way outside to see it.
On Tuesday April 7th, 2020 New Hampshirites all over the state are going to want to grab a blanket and head outside to gaze skyward.

When this happens in the spring, the moon is referred to as a “pink moon.” While we’re a little disappointed that this doesn’t actually refer to the color of the moon we do love how pretty it sounds.

The name actually comes from the face that its appearance coincides with the arrival of one of the first flowers to bloom in North America, the pink phlox.
