There are a lot of ways to enjoy Maine. More than ever we’re thankful for the fresh air, forested land and plentiful coast. Getting outside has been a priority as we get closer to summer and that means we’re always on the lookout for trails and routes that allow us to explore. This one, leading into the woods, is a lovely option. Located in New Hampshire? This hike isn’t far from the border!
Located in Grafton Notch State Park, the hike to Step Falls will lead you through beautifully lush forest.

The out-and-back trail means you’ll see signs indicating private property at the end. This is when you’ll want to turn back. But first, be sure to enjoy the scenery and a refreshing dip in the water if it’s warm enough!

We love trails that lead to fun features. If you love them too, take the simple Screw Auger Falls trail to a double waterfall in Maine.
