While there are plenty of trails in Louisiana that will take you through some picturesque swamps and bayous, there are plenty of underrated trails in central Louisiana that will take you through some of the most challenging terrains The Pelican State has to offer, and this trail in particular offer some of the most unique views in the state. Afterward, you’ll have total bragging rights to tell all your friends that you climbed to the top of Louisiana’s highest natural summit!

Located in Bienville, the Driskill Mountain trail is an out-and-back trail that’s just shy of two miles and is great for all skill levels.

The primitive trail is well marked and pretty secluded, so you might just have the entire trail to yourself!
