Every April, thousands of Washingtonians gather for a beloved spring tradition: the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Between the 300 acres of gorgeous, vibrant tulip fields, the fun farm activities, and visiting our favorite spots in places like Mount Vernon and LaConner, it makes for an incredible day trip and weekend getaway.

This year, for everyone’s safety, the tulip festival has been canceled. But those beautiful tulips will still bloom, and you’re always welcome to tour the fields virtually, which is the next best thing to being there.

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is a time-honored tradition that dates all the way back to 1984.

The festival started as a single weekend, eventually expanding to the entire month of April.

While it’s unfortunate that we can’t go see the tulips in person this year, there are still ways to support your local farmers and vendors.
