Imagination is a powerful thing. And with the aid of modern technology, it doesn’t take much for us to feel as though we’re having an experience firsthand. Recently, we shared a guided virtual hike through Breaks Interstate Park. Today, we offer another virtual experience, albeit a bit more adrenaline-inducing. Over the years, the staff at Kings Dominion have published a series of POV (Point of View) videos that give viewers the perspective of some of their most thrilling rides. The footage below takes viewers on a virtual adventure on the Intimidator 305, one of the tallest and most epic rides on the east coast. So until you can make the trip to Kings Dominion in person, this virtual ride promises a quick adrenaline fix.
The Intimidator 305 is by far one of Kings Dominion’s most iconic rides. The rollercoaster is named for its tallest height and the biggest drop: 305 feet.

This massive drop is just the beginning of this thrilling rollercoaster. The slow ascent gives riders just enough time to get excited – or panic! – for what feels like total free-fall.

The POV video is a fascinating and surprisingly thrilling way to experience the ride virtually.

From the safety of your home, you’ll feel all the suspense as you climb to the top of the first drop and prepare for the fall. You might even feel your stomach drop and your palms become sweaty.

And while nothing quite compares to experiencing the ride in person, you’ll get a glimpse of why this ride was named the Best New Rollercoaster by Amusement Today when it opened in 2010.
