Take A Stroll Through The Stunning Chickasaw National Recreation Area In Oklahoma

One of the most beautiful places to explore in the Sooner State is Chickasaw National Recreation Area in southern Oklahoma. It’s the oldest national park area in the state and has been an outdoor haven for nature enthusiasts since the park first opened in 1902.

Chickasaw National Recreation Area in south-central Oklahoma is the perfect place to explore the great outdoors. This Oklahoma oasis is situated at the foothills of the Arbuckle Mountains in Sulphur.

In fact, there are over 30 miles of hiking trails in the area, including trails for beginners and ranging in difficulty for the novice.

One of the most popular attractions is Little Niagra in Travertine Creek. The water is so clear and refreshing you’ll never want to leave.

Little Niagra has a waterfall at one end where you can jump into the deep water. But the best part is, the water temperature maintains an average temperature of 65 degrees year-round.
