Leisurely drives seem to be the new activity everyone is doing and one we highly recommend is the drive to the top of the world’s highest hill. Head to the town of Poteau and look for Cavanal Hill off in the distance — standing at 1,999 feet above sea level, making it only one foot short to be classified as a mountain. As you enter the town you’ll see the tall hill in the distance. It’s a beautiful piece of nature in the Sooner State everyone should visit at least once.

Once you travel up the four and a half-mile road to the top, you’ll see the famous Cavanal Hill Rock. The drive takes about 30-40 minutes since the road is windy and has a slow speed limit.
