Tacker’s Shake Shack has an expansive menu with tons of must-eats but one of our favorites is the tang pie. It’s a kooky creation but quite addicting! This is one eatery where you’ll want to eat dessert first so let’s dig right in:

Whether you grew up knowing it as Big John’s or were recently introduced to Tacker’s, the Shack Shake is a Delta gem.

Facebook/ The Shake Shack The place originally opened as Big John’s Shake Shack in the 70s but was later changed to honor the former owner, John Tacker, after his death in 2005. The second generation family business is located a couple of miles north of West Memphis.

The diner has a cozy 50s vibe with a mile long menu that would even have Elvis all shook up.

TripAdvisor/management They have a full breakfast menu in the morning and about six pages of entrees, all delicious! Mouthwatering hamburgers, fish dinners, and country-fried steaks are just some of the mouthwatering options. However, we’re more focused on that last page of items: the desserts.

The extensive dessert menu has a ton of winners but one of our favorites is the tang pie.

TripAdvisor/Martha G This is one of the only places we’ve found that even makes the creation. It’s an oddly tasty and tangy pie with a creamy yet fluffy texture. You’ll have to resist the tempting fried pies, bread pudding, fried Oreos, soft serve, and of course the shakes; but, this slice of pie is a tantalizing finish to your meal.

The delicious meals at Tacker’s Shake Shack have even reached global fame!

TripAdvisor/Martha G You can see the proof (and leave your mark) on the map during your next visit. The pies at Shake Shack have also received notable shout outs from Southern Living and Kat Robinson’s Arkansas Pie: A Delicious Slice of the Natural State.

There are plenty of options to fall in love with at Tacker’s Shake Shack but a slice of tang pie will titillate taste buds every time!
