In the early 1900s, hungry Yugoslavian miners were always looking for a place to eat, and Bessie Svilar’s dining room was the place to go.

TripAdvisor / Naddude The Svilars owned a bar and pool parlor, and when Bessie started cooking, the place was booming with business. Mama Svilar served her meals as “all you can eat” feasts, and though she passed away in 1981, her family has kept up the tradition by serving enormous portions.

Today, Svilar’s Bar and Dining Room has become one of the most famous destination restaurants in Wyoming, and many families will stop here for a feast on their way to through the West.
