Waiting for you just west of Corbin along I-75 is a lake that’s known as the clearest in the state.

This manmade lake was impounded in 1974 and the photo below shows the area before it was flooded.

Over 45 years later and Laurel River Lake is clear, deep, and a beautiful destination anytime of year.

If you enjoy fishing, Laurel River Lake is a sought after spot in the Bluegrass.

If a sandy beach is more your scene, Laurel River Lake has that too.
