Salt & Straw has its roots right here in Oregon, and its story is perfectly Oregonian as well. Today, the ice cream shop with the most incredible, unique flavors has dozens of locations in three states, and it just reopened for local delivery and carryout. If you’ve been missing Salt & Straw, you’ll want to check this out!
We love the story of Salt & Straw.
Jim Williams/Google Two cousins wanted to start an ice cream shop, but they knew nothing about making ice cream. They bought a couple used ice-cream makers and went about teaching themselves how to create something special, cashed in their savings, and bought a food cart. Later, they opened their first store on Alberta Street in Portland.
