Not too long ago, we told you about Mississippi’s new drive-in theater, which you can read about here. But it looks like that’s not the state’s only drive-in. A few weeks back, Beacon Theatres opened a pop-up drive-in. So, even though the theater itself is currently closed, you can still catch a movie in its parking lot. Read on for all the details.
In an effort to adapt to social distancing guidelines, Beacon Theatres in Waveland is hosting drive-in movie nights.

Thanks to a portable screen and projector, the theatres’ parking lot has been transformed into a drive-in, offering old-fashioned fun for the entire family.

Movies are shown seven nights a week and begin at dusk, which is about 8 p.m. Even better, it’s only $5 per person for a double feature.

And since no movie-going experience would be complete with popcorn and other snacks, concessions are available for purchase inside the theatre.
