Sometimes, the best adventures lie just outside of Greater Cleveland. While our community is downright splendid in so many aspects, it’s difficult to challenge the charm of Ohio’s Amish Country… and, fortunately, we don’t have to. Dover is a city of just over 12,000 residents that was established in 1807… and this is the school that residents would attend decades later.

Building 6 Wine/Facebook Built in 1886, this stunning structure has always been nestled amidst the greenery of Tuscarawas County. It was formerly known as Oak Grove School #6, although it has a slightly different reputation today than ever before.

The old schoolhouse is now a winery, appropriately named School House Winery, and it is overflowing with history.

After all, classes were held here until 1941.

School House Winery is open Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 9 p.m., staying open just one hour later on Friday and Saturday nights.
