The Rick Evans Grandview Prairie has the honor of being the nation’s largest contiguous tract of blackland prairie in public ownership (according to Arkansas.com). The nearly 5,000-acre prairie is the home to a diverse collection of flora and fauna.
There’s more than rolling hills in this preserved area as well!
TripAdvisor/wolfie_n This is one of the Caddo Mounds that can be found at the prairie. Native American, specifically Caddo, made their home here way before the area was dubbed Grandview. A variety of artifacts have been found here and are displayed in the education center.

The education center offers a myriad of learning programs focused on nature, archeology, paleontology, and cultural. You don’t have to stay indoors to learn at the prairie though!
