Kansas has a few zoos, but this park is a special zoo that comes with something special. If you’ve ever wanted to play with animals you’ve only seen in photos or behind walls before, you’ll want to check out Safari Zoological Park in Kansas. For those of us who don’t live where these wild animals roam, playing with animals one-on-one is a dream come true. The only problem you encounter is which one to choose!
Welcome to Safari Zoological Park, a true hidden gem in the town of Caney, Kansas. It’s the home of many animals large and small, just ready to say hello.

The park is run by Tom and Allie Harvey, and you can truly see how much they love their animals with every interaction. Whether it’s the companionship of a primate or a bear kissing him on the face, you’ll see it. There’s a lot of heart put into the facility, and even more work.

They have a whole host of animals you can choose to interact with, including reptiles like snakes and baby gators, hedgehogs, kangaroo joeys, lemurs, and depending on breeding, baby versions of the animals you see in the zoo.

Many of the animals you can interact with, like this Geoffrey’s cat, are simply adorable! They love to climb on your shoulders, head, and around your arms. Kids and adults alike will fall in love with their little faces and fuzzy feet.
