Lanesboro is a charming small town of about 700 people in the rolling hills of southeastern Minnesota. The town is about 130 miles south of the Twin Cities, making it a nice day trip destination.

Not only is the town nestled within rolling, tree-covered hills. It’s also right on the edge of the scenic Root River. A dam on the river creates a scenic waterfall that you’ll definitely want to visit.
