Breathtaking wildflowers dot the arid desert landscape, so you’ll never have to worry about a lack of scenery worth marveling at. Definitely bring a camera – the tufts of color juxtaposed against the surrounding cacti and scrubland are just too beautiful not to capture.

Towering hills rise up all around, covered in lush greenery and majestic Saguaros. This particular trail only has an elevation gain of about 500 feet, so it doesn’t ascend the lofty peaks, but admiring them from afar is still an incredible experience.

It doesn’t take long to reach the bridge; only about half a mile or so. The structure sits atop a deep-blue oasis, allowing hikers to get up-close-and-personal with the pristine waters.

Since the trail is out-and-back, you’ll get the opportunity to cross the bridge twice. Though it’s the same landscape, you’d be surprised to see how a fresh perspective can offer a whole new experience.

If you have a dog, feel free to let him or her splash around at the end of the canyon. It’s the perfect way to cool off and take a breather before finishing out the trek strong.
