The Chicago Botanic Garden is a beautiful oasis tucked away in the northeast corner of the state. It is home to a diverse range of plants from across the globe and keeps visitors coming throughout the year with various events.

February 8, 2020, through March 22, 2020, is The Orchid Show, which takes place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.

There will be more than 10,000 orchids of every color and design on display at this unique event. You’ll see a towering kaleidoscope, floating carpet, and dramatic chandelier styles.

The show takes place inside the greenhouse galleries where it is warm despite the chill outside. Guests pay to park at this garden and are also asked to pay admission to this event.

Admission for the event is $14 for adults and $11 for senior citizens and children between the ages of 3 and 12. Parking is $25 per car.

Special events within the show include Orchids After Hours, which is an illuminated evening of flowers, cocktails, and refreshments you’ll never forget.
