Have you ever heard of the Old Station Inn? Staying overnight in a retro gas station isn’t something you might have considered before, but we promise it’s a fun time! Though the inside doesn’t look as old as the outside, this mini inn is one for the books.

Hiding out in Cawker City, what you’re seeing here is not only a retro gas station, but the Old Station Inn.

The whole place was wonderfully restored with a new coat of paint and new pumps, as well as a new interior to make it an inn instead of a gas station. After all that work, it’s become a small inn full of comfort.

The inn itself is comfortably small inside but includes 2 full-sized beds, a three-piece bathroom, a mini kitchen with a microwave and fridge, and all the quiet a small town like this has to offer. They’ve got everything you need right here for a great stay away from home.

Inns in small towns are already amazing, and waking up to make a cup of coffee and relax in the quiet is something you can’t get everywhere.

Rest assured that this tiny inn will be a cool stop along the way. After all, how many places do you know of where you can spend the night in a retro gas station?

A great Kansas stop to make in Cawker City is the World’s Largest ball of sisal twine, a quick stop for a photo but a Kansas legend nonetheless.

After the ball of twine, you should explore the town and the local Waconda Lake for a full day or weekend of fun in the area.
