No matter what time of year it is, there are some areas that are worth seeking out year-round. F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm in Akron is a gorgeous metro park with plenty to explore in every season. From beautiful trails to indoor educational exhibits, it’s the perfect place for a mini day trip whenever you want to get out of the house and spend some time in nature.
Part of the Summit Metro Parks system, this gem of a park is a best kept secret for locals and a pleasant surprise to visitors who aren’t from the area.

The trails range in difficulty, but most are rated as easy or moderate. The 3-mile Mingo Trail is the longest and most difficult trail.

The Suspension Bridge is a popular stop at the park. Most of the trails converge here, so it’s not hard to find.

You can even cozy on up by the fireside at the Seneca Deck. It’s the perfect way to end a winter hike.

The Visitor’s Center is open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday and from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday.
