Spanning 16,500 acres, this forest is the largest in Massachusetts, and by taking October Mountain Loop Trail, you can summit the highest peak in our state’s largest forest. This peak is one of the most remote spots in the state, and this trail also features rivers and a serene lake to take a breath and relax beside.
