If you’re looking for a scenic drive that has a little bit of everything, head straight to Newport, Rhode Island. The famous Ten-Mile Drive is more than just the coastal Ocean Drive. Take the trip with your eye wide open as coastal scenery, stunning homes, and expansive water views pass by.
The Ten-Mile Drive of Newport is best taken starting at Thames Street with the water on your right as you cruise along Ocean Drive and then end on Bellevue Avenue.

Much of this scenic trip is flanked with incredible views of the coastline. Whether you’re absorbing the scenery of the bay or the Atlantic, the blue waters are likely to be dotted with sailboats and fishing craft.

If you’ve packed a picnic or are looking for a little beach time, Gooseberry Beach is a lovely stretch of sandy shore. Located within a small cove, the scenery is gorgeous and the surf is calm.
